Thank You to All Our 2020 Camp Invention Sponsors

At the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF), inspiring today’s students to become the innovators of tomorrow is at the core of our mission. Through NIHF education programs like Camp Invention®, we are able to not only provide hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education to children nationwide but also introduce our world-changing Inductees to empower young innovators to overcome any challenge.

As social distancing measures have been adopted to prevent the spread of COVID-19, our team of education experts developed a new, at-home summer learning solution. Camp Invention Connect has reinvented summer camp by adapting the hands-on fun of Camp Invention® for at-home learning. This exciting, flexible program has been enjoyed by tens of thousands of children across the country.

Thank you to our incredible sponsors!

During these challenging and uncertain times, our philanthropic partnerships are more vital to our organization than ever before, and as always, our sponsors’ trust in our programs truly does mean the world to the children we serve.

Thanks to meaningful support from our partners and their willingness to benefit students, 15,000 underserved children received scholarships or financial support to participate in a Camp Invention® program in person or at home. Through their generosity, these companies and organizations are not only giving children the opportunity to develop a passion for STEM at a young age, but they are also helping bridge the diversity gap present in many of these fields.

Below are a few testimonials from parents whose children have been impacted by our programming:

“I cannot tell you how we appreciate Tiffany’s participation with Camp Invention [Connect]. These have been difficult times for her with being separated from her friends. However, Camp Invention was the perfect bridge to keep her engaged in science and connecting her to other children. She enjoyed the virtual interaction and encouragement from her teacher.”
 — Patricia P., Camp Invention Connect Parent

“My son was able to build a ‘prototype’ of an invention he’s always dreamed of in his head. He loved creating things, and it gave him something to look forward to in this stressful time.”
Allison L., Camp Invention Connect Parent

“It was great to see how proud my son was after completing each step of a project, or after finding out how something works or seeing what happens when you experiment. I was especially proud of the awesome ideas he was coming up with for the Design Thinking Project. I believe he wants to keep inventing this summer.”
— Monica D., Camp Invention Connect Parent
