The Ford Mustang is one of the world’s most recognizable cars. Boasting more than half a century of continuous production and countless appearances in film, television, music and video games, the Mustang has truly paved the way for American muscle cars.
Experience more than 50 years of automotive innovation
With our Intellectual Property Power® exhibition, The National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF) Museum celebrates the Ford Mustang as an icon of automotive innovation. Our museum’s custom Mustang merges two models — one from 1965 and one from 2015. This unique exhibit allows visitors to see, hear and feel how the Mustang has continuously set new standards in automotive design and technology.
The Ford Mustang has always been at the cutting edge of innovation. Its patented features have elevated safety, functionality and aesthetics, from its armrests and seat belts to its catalytic converter. When you visit our exhibit, you can experience the Mustang’s legacy firsthand as you climb into the driver’s seat and rev the engine.
We’re taking our Mustang on a road trip
For the first time ever, our one-of-a-kind car is heading out of the museum! On Friday, December 21, 2018, NIHF’s custom Ford Mustang left our museum in Alexandria, Virginia, to a destination we’re keeping secret for now.
With this traveling exhibit, we’re celebrating American ingenuity and promoting a more innovative future.
