Teacher Appreciation Week
In honor of National Teacher Day, the National Inventors Hall of Fame® (NIHF) would like to thank the amazing educators who partner with us each year to bring STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education to children across the country.
Teachers play a crucial role in inspiring the innovators of tomorrow. NIHF Inductee Marshall Jones, a pioneer of industrial laser technology, credits his fourth-grade teacher Mrs. DeFriest with encouraging his persistence and enabling him to excel in his education. “I think if Mrs. DeFriest had not had me repeat the fourth grade, whatever happened to me going forward would never had happened,” Jones said.
Year after year we receive similar feedback and appreciation from thousands of parents whose children are impacted by our Camp Invention® program. Here are a few of our favorites.

Educators are the backbone of everything we do, and their passion for encouraging our campers to dream, innovate and create inspires us each and every day. In 2019, we had the privilege of partnering with 22,000 educators and staff, and their support and expertise allows us to spread innovative STEM education to students in all 50 states.
In recent months, teachers have gone to incredible lengths to ensure their students receive quality education through distance learning. Their commitment continues to inspire all of us, and they deserve our recognition now more than ever.
