Our Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program is for 7th - 9th graders. LITs will gain mentoring and collaboration skills while helping guide campers throughout the week at our in-person locations. Availability may be limited.
Please Note: Waterford School District is excited to be hosting two weeks of Camp Invention this summer! Week 1 will be June 9-13, 2025 at Trailside Elementary running the program Discover
Week 2 will be August 4-8, 2025, Location TBD, running the program Recharge.
Children can attend both weeks for a unique experience as there is no content overlap.
Parents who would like to register for both weeks of Camp Invention can
save $60 off their second week registration. Once they complete their first
registration, a confirmation email will be sent including a unique URL. They
will need to register for the second week using the unique URL, and a promo
code for $60 off will automatically be applied to their next registration.

Unleash the power of the claw as you make your own mechanical claw machine complete with unique prizes that you create! Discover hands-on physics, explore animals with claws and become an entrepreneur.
CREATIVITY
Embrace your curiosity as you uncover the science behind optical illusions in art, movies, attractions, theater and animation. Design and test various illusions and invent your own moving props to become a special effects expert!
PROBLEM SOLVING
Rev up for the ultimate road trip complete with your own transmitter and receiver, custom dashboard and travel map! As the traveler, you choose your own path and invent your way out of bumps in the road.
PERSISTENCE
Embark on an eco-expedition to investigate penguins and the ice and snow of Antarctica. With your imagination and the help of a robotic assistant, you’ll develop penguin and planet-saving prototypes!
