Spark Innovative Superpowers
In The Infringers, campers team up with the Innovation Force® — National Inventors Hall of Fame Inductees — to identify and solve challenges in their community and around the world. As children collaborate to turn big ideas into innovative solutions, they learn how to protect their intellectual property from the Infringers, who are duplicating inventions!
From reCAPTCHA to iris recognition, children explore innovative security tools to safeguard their designs and keep their ideas protected. As campers explore the important role of technology, they invent small but impactful prototypes and miniaturize their top-secret inventions. From secret codes to sneaky storage spaces, children develop ways to secure their sketches and outwit the hackers from gaining access to their data. As they create their own secret code using a cryptography wheel, campers explore design engineering by constructing their own wearable, take-home cryptography device.
As children expand their IP literacy, they explore everything from algorithms to computer science and cybersecurity. In a race against time, campers time travel to take action against the Infringers and file a patent to protect their one-of-a-kind innovation. Inspired by real-world heroes, they combine their inventive superpowers to overcome obstacles, keep information secure and spark world-changing ideas.
