Our Leaders-in-Training (LIT) program is for 7th - 9th graders. LITs will gain mentoring and collaboration skills while helping guide campers throughout the week at our in-person locations. Availability may be limited.

Gadget Garage™   
Campers collaborate with their crew to explore the inner workings of mechanical gadgets and find innovative solutions to viewer challenges! After they excavate a gearbox, children take apart a wind-up robot and practice persistence by repurposing its parts to create their very own Etch-n-Glow Wand™— a dazzling gadget that lights up and spins!  


Ooze and Aahs™   
Children uncover ooey-gooey chemistry concepts as they investigate nature’s tiniest organisms. Wading into the wonders of a freshwater pond, campers analyze slimy substances, investigate insect anatomy and invent a racing insect-inspired invention to control an invasive species.
 
New Heights™   
Children take on the ultimate engineering challenge as they build a towering superstructure inspired by cutting-edge architecture. After exploring biomimicry and materials technologies, they use circuitry to assemble a motorized elevator and build confidence as they deliver a winning pitch to investors as they present their sustainable masterpiece.
 
Stuck!™   
Campers step into the role of budget-savvy entrepreneurs as they design an exclusive new product, explore every phase of product development and learn what to do when they find themselves stuck. Keeping their creative ideas flowing, they compete in a high-energy prototyping challenge where they take risks to earn big rewards.
