What is the Club Invention Program?

The Club Invention program is a nationally acclaimed weeklong summer enrichment day experience for children entering in grades one through six that is free to schools and organizations nationwide. The top priority of the Club Invention program is to provide quality enrichment programming in the fields of science, mathematics, history, and the arts. Local schools host the program and the week’s hands-on activities are led by local teachers to ensure a safe learning environment. The staff to child ratio is 1:8! The Club Invention program enhances a child’s ability to learn through teamwork and subject immersion while cultivating a new appreciation for discovery — it’s learning disguised as fun!

Why is it so Successful?

The Club Invention program was created by the National Inventors Hall of Fame Foundation with support from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Since its inception in 1990, the program has grown to include more than 1200 sites in 49 states. The Club Invention program provides step-by-step instructions and curricula to local directors and their staff, as well as marketing support, project materials, staff training, staff salaries, customer relations, and reservations assistance. Parents pay an established fee for their children to attend. Participating parents, educators, and children rave about the program — giving it an approval rating of more than 90%.

Here's How It Works

The Club Invention program runs for a period of one week, and each day up to 110 children rotate between four thematic modules that build upon what was learned the previous day. A typical program runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
