SUBstitute

The Challenge:

Using materials found around the house and a small empty plastic container that has a lid, build a submarine that neither sinks to the bottom nor floats on the top, but hovers for at least 10 seconds in the middle of a bathtub, bucket or sink. Think about what other materials you might substitute or what you could take away or add to the materials you’re using.
